Get out of your head and come back to your body.

We all live in our heads, we all listen to the stories our minds are creating 24/7, stories that make us feel anxious, stressed, upset, worried, angry, … and we suffer because of it.

When will we start listening to our body instead of our mind? When will we come back to our body?

Dr Sue Morter so accurately explains all of this in her book ‘The Energy Codes’: “our soul talks to our body and our body talks to our mind but…. our mind does not listen!”

As does Albert Einstein when he says: “Our mind is our servant in life but we treat it as our master”.

And that’s where everything goes wrong….

We need to start listening to our body again. Our soul, our spirit, the energy we are, knows what we are here for, it knows what is ours and what is meant for other people. The soul, our true self, ‘talks’ to our body. That energy that comes our way, that energy that we feel in our body, can feel good, can strengthen us when it is in accordance with who we are, or it can get blocked somewhere in our energy field when it is not in alignment with who we are. That’s when we feel a tension in our muscles, we feel pain, we feel anxiety, …somewhere in our body. That is our soul -who we really are- talking to our body. It is vital that we start listening to those signals (again). When we are listening to that message, when we acknowledge this feeling in our body, we become aware of it and so the mind is hearing what the body is trying to tell us. Now that we are aware of this influx of energy, we can channel this energy so that it is no longer stuck. Once the energy flows freely again, when there is no more energy stuck, then everything is fine again. The pain goes away, the tension subsides, we feel less upset, … Because we listen to our body, we acknowledge the influx of energy and we start breathing. You can breathe the central channel breathing* or another breathing exercise cf. The Energy Codes by Dr Sue Morter, or just breathe in and out until you feel your body relaxing. Once your body is more relaxed, your mind calms down too. The energy is channeled, not stuck anymore.

When we do not listen to our body and we live in our mind, we ignore the signs from our soul through our body and the more we do NOT listen, the harder the body will try to tell us there is something blocked, that there is an issue we need to address. If we keep ignoring those messages, we will get ill. This is so important to know because so many diseases can get cured by getting the energy flowing again. We are energy beings, we get sick when energy is blocked hence, we can cure ourselves by getting energy unstuck. I highly recommend the teachings and practices of dr. Sue Morter, she is an expert on how we are pure energy and how we can live our life to the fullest by channeling incoming energy.

We are so used to living in our heads, to listening to our minds, that we honestly believe that this is the way our life is supposed to be. We treat everything our mind thinks, as truth. But that’s where we throw ourselves a curveball time after time. Our thoughts are just thoughts! We can flip our thoughts over. It’s just a mindset. When you decide to think a different thought, there is a different thought in your head, hence you will feel a different feeling!

And that is how you create a life without all the upsetting stories, without all the draining feelings, a life where you decide ‘everything is okay’, ‘I can handle this’. Then you are in a place where you create a beautiful life full of gratitude, of compassion, of love. Because love is the absolute number one healing power. Learn to feel love, learn to expand that warm feeling in your heart throughout your whole body. Once you feel this love, everything is more beautiful.

That is why it is so important we understand that our feelings are a result of what we are thinking, and our thinking needs to be a result of what we hear our body telling us, we need to be aware of the message and channel all incoming energy.

A quote of dr. Sue I really love: “Emotions are just a default reaction to an influx of energy” We think an influx of energy is a crisis, a fight and we panic, we get upset, we feel stressed out, we feel physically and emotionally bad. But when you see this influx of energy for what it is: just a lot of energy that enters your energy field, you can handle this. You listen to your body, you channel this overload of energy and you feel your body relaxing, you can breathe normally again, the emotions will have subsided and you will feel better even if nothing has changed about the outer situation. You have listened to your body, you have acknowledged it and now you can handle this without being all stressed out, without being upset. It was just a situation where you got bombarded with impulses, but that is okay, that is normal, that is what is happening all the time, you just have to understand this and learn how to channel it.

You learn how to stay strong in your energy field, how to not get carried away by stories, how to not throw all of your energy onto another object but keep it on your own subject/body, how to not let your mind make up stories. Stories that will upset you even further. You do not need this. All you need to do is, recognize incoming energy for what it is, feeling it in your body, and breathing through it so that you can stay strong, you can stay relaxed, you can handle any situation that comes your way.

As I’ve said before, it is something you need to train. Try it with ‘little’ influxes of energy. You’ll feel it is working and you’ll get more and more confident this will help you in ‘big-crisis-situations’ too. The more you do this, the more it will become your natural response instead of your default reaction of emotions, emotions like anger, frustration, irritation, feeling overwhelmed, … It’s time they stop running the show.

A whole ‘new’ life, the life you are meant to live will unfold itself to you. It is so worth it! You’ll get to live a life where you can enjoy yourself, where you feel love, abundance, gratitude, a life where you do not feel you have to ‘fight” all the time. As Susan Jeffers so brilliantly wrote her book ‘End the struggle and dance with life’ about. I highly recommend reading this jewel!

My invitation to you all this week is:

Listen to your body, when you feel tension building up somewhere in your body, your chest, your gut, your throat, … start breathing. Put your hand on the place you feel tension and breathe it away. You can practice the central channel breathing*, or any other breathing exercise you feel is helping you so that when there is a ‘situation’, you can start breathing this way and you will feel the ‘too much’, the ‘out of control’ going away.

This will help you handle any influx of energy! If you want to read more about it, I absolutely recommend reading and practicing Dr. Sue’s book!

Good luck and thank you all for reading  and supporting me!
