Procrastination
Pro what…?
Yes, we all know that little devil!
Who recognizes this:
I am going to…
I want to start…
Tomorrow I will…
…
and then
I’ll do it later,
when I’ve finished this, then I will….
…
and in the end you never get to it!

Not only is what you intended to do not done but – and maybe even more importantly- you have sent a message to your subconscious that what you say can not be trusted, that your word doesn’t mean much.
It prevents you not only from achieving your goals but people won’t trust you as much anymore AND you lose respect for yourself!!
So if you tend to act like that: not calling back, not responding in the time frame you promised, last minute cancelling, not doing what you said you would….it’s time to start seeing your word as law to yourself.
You said it and you honour it!

It takes practice but once you start doing as you said you would when you said you would: an enormeous power awakens!
People trust you, you trust yourself!
You feel in control of your life, you get things done and your selfrespect grows!
Once your selfrespect is alive and present, confidence and happiness follow automatically!

To help you start following up on your word, learn to say no to trivial things.
As I mentioned in previous blogs, it is very important to know your priorities in life.

Once you defined them, it becomes very simple to say no to things that are distracting you from your goals. It is better to say no in the first place than to say yes and then not doing it anyway.
Focus on the things that bring you closer to the life you want to lead, to what matters most to you.

You can devide your time spending into 3 categories:
A: doing things that irritate you
B: doing things that are okay
C: doing things that lead you further on your path to your destination, things that motivate you, emotionally and intellectually.
The funny –actually very sad- thing is that we spend most of our time in category A and B!
So eliminate what you can from those categories, delegate or automate!
‘Make’ time.
Once you start organizing your life, time will slow down!!
Know your goals, define your WHY!
Plan your way ( C category) by making small steps forward every day

Choose what you will do today ( have your 3 priorities ready first thing in the morning)
Make it law
Keep your promises to yourself and others
Get the job done
Enjoy the feeling of proud, joy, and respect you get from others and from yourself!!

It takes some practice but the reward is huge!!!!
Review your big picture, your course to your destination, every week so that you can correct when necessary. If you don’t do that it’s like a plane that gets off course just 1 or 2 degrees but ends up at a totally different destination when not corrected!

So again, I invite you to have a close look at your life, your goals, plan your steps towards the life you want to lead, make space ( see previous blog), prioritize, and get done what you said you would do, every single day!! That’s the path to your happiness!!

Good luck and have a great journey!!!!!
