When you can’t find 20 minutes to meditate each day, you need to meditate at least an hour a day!
You find this shocking? Hilarious? Impossible? ……
Well it is the truth!
We benefit so much of stepping out of that wheel of our rat race even if it’s only
for a few minutes.
After having taken a few moments
to recollect your thoughts,
to (re)consider what is the most important thing you need to do next ( instead of letting yourself be pushed to do the most urgent thing- often even for someone else’s agenda),
to reconnect with your WHY, your end goal,
to breathe for a minute,
..
you will
be so much more focused, hence so much more effective,
feel less stress,
have a better working memory
be a lot more tolerant
be able to feel compassion instead of irritation
be more peaceful
yes YOU will be in control of your mind instead of your thoughts ( who are always screaming to be heard!)
…
It is scientifically proven that people who meditate each day have different connections in their brains.
Through meditation you can let emotions and thoughts in, acknowledge them and let them go.

A non meditative brain lets the thoughts run the mind until it feels like a hurricane in your head which can spin out of control.
Another benificient result of meditation is that in the evening your mind is a lot more relaxed because you don’t have that turmoil in your head and it goes without saying that a relaxed mind goes to sleep far more easily.

And now I hear some people sighing: pff meditation, I am not the type to go sitting on a cushion with a candle next to me,….
Well, you don’t need to do that. You can if that makes you feel good, but it is not necessary.
You can just sit down, or lay down anywhere you want to, depending on where you are of course. Just sit and relax, take a few deep breaths and focus on the breathing. Let thoughts come and go. Focus on the breathing. Reconnect with your inner self.

Do it in the morning so that you start your day focused instead of reactive to all the impulses that are coming your way. Let that smartphone be until you have your priorities for the day clear in your mind. Decide then what you will do first. Act. Don’t react.
Do it for a couple of minutes through the day to stay focused.
Do it in the evening to have a peaceful sleep.
Very succesful people take this time to refocus. Some go every 90 minutes outside for only 2 minutes, alone so that they are not disturbed, don’t have to talk, breathe in the fresh air, look up to the clouds, recollect their thoughts and priorities of the day and go back to work. It is proven very efficient!
Up to you now people!
Wishing you a very calm, inspiring, peaceful and happy weekend close to your values, close to your true self!
