Breathing…
So simple,
So natural,
So taken for granted, (our body does it for us and never forgets it, isn’t that amazing!)
And yet, without it, we die!
It is literally the breath of life!

Not only do we breathe automatically ( fortunately!! or we wouldn’t have any overpopulation anymore….)
but we can also do so much with our breathing in a conscious way!
What is the first action in a stressful situation? Yes! Breathe!!
Take a deep breath in and an even longer breath out!

When you exhale longer than you inhale, your body gets the message: relax! It is scientifically proven that breathing out makes the body relax, it does, always!
So in any situation where you risk to blow a fuse: breathe!
Inhale (count to 4) and exhale (count to 6 or longer!).
You feel yourself getting calmer! Disaster avoided! Everybody is in a better place thanks to your breathing!
It is such a powerful tool to manage our mood, our health and yet so underestimated!

Our respiration provides our body with the necessary oxygen, energy.
Go outside, breathe in the fresh oxygen and feel the energy flowing through your body: from head to toe!

Breathe in good energy, positive thoughts, kindness and let it spread through your whole body!
While exhaling, breathe out all the toxins, garbage, bad thoughts.

Visualize this while breathing and you will feel yourself getting cleaner, fresher, more energized, lighter, and thus happier!
Your breath is so powerful, use it to your advantage!!
It helps you to:
– drive worries out of your mind,
– handle pain better ( just think of how women give birth without taking any pain medication just by focussing on their breath! Yes, it is possible! I know)
– stay calm in a discussion! And you’ll get so much better results!
– see clear in an emergency situation
– sleep better
– …
The list can go on and on!

It is also how any meditation starts: by taking a few deep breaths: in and out! You’ll immediately feel calmer and more ready!
Also for self reflexion, grounding yourself,….yoga.
Just a short blog this week to honour our breath!
Learn how it works, use it to your advantage and enjoy the calm it will provide you in any given circumstances!
