We all know the famous words by Nietzsche:
“ Was mich nicht umbringt, macht mich stärker”
“ What doesn’t kill me, will only make me stronger!”
I already spent a lot of time thinking about these words…
Are they true?
Is that really so?
And of course there is a time and place for everything, and especially for making this statement!
If you say this to a person in their darkest moment, you better check if they don’ have a gun at hand or you might just end up at the wrong side of the barrel!
But once you notice that they are seeing a litlle light at the end of their tunnel, then you can have that conversation.
Because we all are the product of what we went through in life and if we can see the silver lining we will realize that even the darkest clouds brought some light!

Once you realize that the strenghth you feel today, the compassion you have for others, …is actually thanks to the trauma’s you yourself suffered in life, you can actually say thank you, be grateful for the things that taught you and brought you where you are today.
Most of the very successful people didn’t get it by just having it being handed over to them on a silver platter. They worked hard, often in hard circumstances, with a lot of set backs, disappointments.
But when they were knocked down, they got up, dusted themselves off, learned from the situation and went further on their path being a lot stronger!
So yes, I agree with the big philosopher, you don’t always see it immediately, (it sometimes takes half a lifetime) but once you realize this is true, you can be grateful and embrace the setbacks in life.
Your track record of getting through tough days is 100% right now so you will survive the next rough patch in your life! Believe in your strength, believe in your resilience to bounce back and one day you will see the beautiful, strong person you became thanks to life!
I wish you a weekend in which you feel strong, grateful, happy and proud of yourself!!!!
